Sailing in Turkey also allows visitors to experience the hospitality of the people in the coastal villages and towns. The tempered winds blowing from west and northwest make the long summers ideal for yachting, and seem to encourage an appreciation of nature. From some of the turquoise coast's unspoilt and sheltered bays you can see mountain peaks rising to almost 3000 meters above sea level.

Bağla is a popular destination for daily excursion boats from Bodrum. The shores are fully occupied by summer houses. Western part affords adequate shelter from breeze. Strong northerlies send swell in. The bottom is sand. Good holding.

All provisions are available ashore.

Past Kargı, around a small headland by sea or over one of the fingerlike ridges if travelling by land is the small bay called Bagla Koyu. Like Kargi Koyu, Bağla also offers one of the most pristine bottoms extending far from the shore.

With some of the best swimming to be found in the area, Bağla is popular with the daily tour boats that stop there regularly. remaining local fishermen.
