Sailing in Turkey also allows visitors to experience the hospitality of the people in the coastal villages and towns. The tempered winds blowing from west and northwest make the long summers ideal for yachting, and seem to encourage an appreciation of nature. From some of the turquoise coast's unspoilt and sheltered bays you can see mountain peaks rising to almost 3000 meters above sea level.

Domuz Island is a private island and no landing is allowed. There is a small cove on the northern side which is sometimes used by vessels anchoring in 15 metres, an activity that seems to be tolerated as long as they don’t send parties ashore.

Domuz Island is also called as Prince Island. In the island, there used to be large number of wild boars. Because the mooring of the island is protected from winds, it is an ideal place for the gulet yacht to anchor and overnight. In the north of the island, there is a creek. It has a very narrow entrance and a long corridor, surrounded by olive and pine trees. Here at the most extreme end of the bay, you can see the ancient ruins and rock tombs.

This creek lies on the north shore of Domuz Island. Boats can anchor on west side and take a line ashore. There are good depths in the middle. A creek on the west allows room for just two boats. Prevailing wind send in swell. Fair weather anchorage.
