Göcek Yacht Club was founded in 1999 in Göcek town under the name of Göcek Yacht Specialization Club Association. It still operates as a part of Turkish Sailing Federation.
The club organizes regattas and sailing courses in order to train the future yachtsmen and to increase the interest in sailing. As a consequence of the support from Port Göcek Marina, the club has now got a building and a clubhouse.
Göcek Yacht Club Association, to develop the sport of sailing in Gocek, to organize sports activities in this area, to increase the interest in the sport of sailing, especially among young people, in order to promote and educate young athletes, was founded on January 4, 1999.
The club, under the guidance of a professional trainer, since 2002, children between the ages of 07-14, as well as the basic optimist sailing training courses in recent years is laser.

From some of the turquoise coast's unspoilt and sheltered bays you can see mountain peaks rising to almost 3000 meters above sea level.
