This unusual village, located on the Muğla road 55 km from Göcek, has large numbers of sweet-smelling sweetgum trees (Liquidambar orientalis). The secretion from these trees is used in the treatment of many illnesses, such as itching, asthma, bronchitis, ulcers and stomach disorders, as well as by the perfume industry.
Günlüklü Koyu has a lot of Günlük trees so naturally this is how the bay was named. This is another bay preferred by many local people who will visit during the weekend. This bay also has a spring, which can be reached by road from the Göcek and Dalaman direction. Inlets can be found around the bay for those who don’t like crowded places and are looking for peace and quiet.
This cove is on N of Kargılı, ends in a shingle beach. There is a tasty well water behind greenary area. The settings are attractive. You can anchor in 10 m and take a line ashore.
There is an outlet for the boats where you can fill up the tanks.

The tempered winds blowing from west and northwest make the long summers ideal for yachting, and seem to encourage an appreciation of nature. From some of the turquoise coast's unspoilt and sheltered bays you can see mountain peaks rising to almost 3000 meters above sea level.
