Kalem Island is like a jewel hidden inside the turquoise waters of Aegean Sea, offshore Izmir. Kalem Island is located on the Bademli coasts of Dikili and offers great environment and holiday opportunities for its visitors. Kalem Island face the Greek island of Lesbos.
Kalem Island with a surface area of 480.000 sq meters, the Island of Kalem is located on the shores of Bademli Bay, the sailors’ hidden paradise spot, in the district of Dikili-Izmir. The island is situated between Garip Island and shores of Bademli and has a distance of about 450 meters to mainland. Each side of the island provides different seashores characteristics, therefore, a major variety of underwater specification can be found.
The island which is only 13 miles from Lesbos Island is an excellent choice for those who are looking for a peaceful vacation with its rich underwater world, turquoise sea and unique scenic beauties. Holidaymakers are able make a daily visit to the island and enjoy their day out under the sun and nearby the crystal clear waters.
There is a luxury hotel on the island as well. The beach club, cafe and restaurant of the hotel is open for the visitors.
Bademli Village is located on the south east of Dikili and offers great views and attractions to its visitors with its very long beautiful coasts and wonderful sandy beaches. The coasts and the Bademli Cove is popular for the visitors with its beaches and sea. The coves on the east, Kalem Adası and Garip Ada lie on north - south orientation.
