Ataköy Marina, located at the southern end of the Bosphorus, is the gateway to the ancient and exotic but nonetheless quirky and contemporary İstanbul, a uniqe city where traditional culture and dynamic novelty are urbanely entwined in an immadiate eclectic mix. Ataköy Marina is the first Marina in Turkey to have been awarded Five Golden Anchors by the Yacht Horbour Assaciation in London and is entitled to fly the Blue Flag of the Foundation of European Environmental Education.

APPROACHING
All yachts wishing to enter the Marina have to inform the Control Tower on VHF 73 on approach.
MOORING
Moorings available for 700 yachts 10 to 40 meters overall length. Maximum draft 5 meters. All moorings have individual water, 220 v or 340 v-3 phase electricity, satellite television and direct dial telephone connection.
HARD STANDING
Space for 100 yachts. Travel hoist 70 tons capacity. Larger vessels can be slipped at nearby ship-yards.
SECURITY
24 hour manned security throughout the marina area.

AROUND
Atakoy Marina, A port of Entry to Turkey, located on the European Coast of Istanbul at the southern end of the Bosphorus Straits. The Marina situated in its own extensive ground is a peaceful place away from the noise and bustle of Istanbul but yet offers easy access by many forms of transport. As a result it is an excellent place to moor a vessel whether arriving from the Aegean Sea, through the Dardanelles, or joining the craft by air.
The modern International Airport, with direct flights to most countries is only 10 minutes away by taxi. The E5 Highway and the TEM ( Trans European Motorway) are a few minutes drive away and have feeder roads to all areas of Turkey and other countries. The Sea Bus terminal, adjacent to the Marina, allows speedy transport by sea to the Asian and European sides of Istanbul and to various parts of the Sea of Marmara.
Many taxis and a local bus service provide transport for sight-seeing in the historical peninsula, bounded by the Golden Horn and Sea of Marmara, and the heart of the Ottoman commerce of Istanbul. Other buses go to Taksim Square and Beyoğlu, a street of international shops. The Metro from Taksim Square provides a very speedy link to the fashionable shopping area of Levent.
The Princes' Islands, 10 nm offshore, can be visited by ferry or by private yacht. Here there is a step back in history as cars are not allowed and transport is by horse drawn carriage. There are many secure harbours and anchorages for a yacht around the islands where fresh fish is a speciality of most of the restaurants.
The Bosphorus Straits give access to the Black Sea and the six countries of Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Georgia and Turkey which surround this large expanse of water.
Turkish Offshore Racing Club is the leading Yacht Club in Turkey and thru Eastern Aegean Sea and has been successfully organizing since its establishment in 1971, professionally organized yacht races to an ever increasing and highly motivated community.
