Kabatepe Port is on the western part of Gelibolu Peninsula, it lies on the north of Palamut Point. The port has a ferry berth, located by the main breakwater, for connections to Gökçeada.

During the First World War, the headland then known as Gaba Tepe was the site of an artillery battery which constantly harassed the ANZAC troops around ANZAC Cove to the north throughout the Gallipoli Campaign.

FISH HARBOUR
Yachts go to the shore side for berthing. There is a long quay 76 meters where there are 3 - 4 meters depth in the anchorage. Depth at the head of the quay is around 2 meters. Boats drop anchor and go stern to on the quay. An inner basin is allocated as an anchorage for local fishing boats.

KABATEPE MUSEUM
The Kabatepe Museum (or Gallipoli Museum) is located within the Gallipoli Historic National Park. It commemorates the Gallipoli Campaign, now considered a defining moment in the modern history of not only Turkey, but of Australia and New Zealand as well.

The museum hosts numerous relics from the campaign, including weapons, ammunition, uniforms, photographs, letters written by the soldiers to their families, and private belongings such as shaving tools, cocoa cases, leather flasks etc. There are also more shocking artifacts such as the skull of a Turkish soldier with the bullet hole in the forehead which killed him, and the shoe of a soldier still containing a bone from the owner's foot.
